Turning Twenty (:

In a blink of an eye, my 20th birthday has come and gone! (: I spent my birthday in the business school library studying like a crazy woman but despite having such a muggertoad birthday, I actually had a really great oneeee ((: I kept smiling to myself all day as I received texts from friends and messages on Facebook! Thank you so much everyone! I know I didn't reply every single one of you but I hope you all know how grateful and happy I am to receive your message (: Much loveeeeeee!

Now on to specifics! I'll like to thank my bestieee Teo Weiyan for dragging me out to study on my birthday because quoting her, "studying at home on your birthday is sooooo borrringgg!" lol! Actually studying can't get very interesting but it was so so much better with her around (: yays! Thank youuuu girl! She also gave me a packet of M&Ms (my fav!) and a pretty homemade card which she banned me from reading until I get home cus she is too shy :D Mushy content HAHAHA! And then to bff Jx for the lovely postcard (: A much smaller thanks to stupid bff Troy who didn't give me a card but came to mess up my hair big-time while saying Happy Birthday in the library. I forgive him though cus I know his intentions were good :D And then also to IVAN LIM!! (see, I treat you as my bff and I remember you!! :D) for the phone calllllllll! (accompanied by accusations and threats hahaha!)

Next up is a huge thank youuuu to my darling Garfield cat, who surprised me in school with a birthday cake ((:

Hair messy and looking crazy from all the studying! haha!

<3 It was a pretty durian cake and very yummy! hee hee! I had a great time dear! xie xie ni! :D

And then when I got home, I found a birthday card that came in the mail from Lekchiaaaaa with a Robinsons gift card attached! (: Aww that's really unexpected and sweet! Thank youuu! (:

Last but not least, to the clique in school that I absolutely cannot do without! Thank you for the gorgeous Michael Kors watch and the card! (: I love them! I also just found out from Fio that they wanted to get me a rabbit at first! Fio told me that in the end, they concluded the poor rabbit will probably get eaten up by Moomoo and Mimi when I'm asleep and hence junked the idea! hahahahaha!! Frigging funny! (And they aren't wrong about the conclusion..)

My first dainty watch! (:

And lastly...

MY DAD BOUGHT ME A MERCEDES SPORTS CAR!!!!!!

Loss.

I do not like this word at all. Everytime I think of losing things dear to me, I really can feel my heart aching. Sometimes in my heart, I quietly chant, "Dear God, please don't take this away from me. I love it so very very much. I promise to treasure it mroe from now on" But loss is just a part of our lives. We must learn to accept it and move on, no matter how hard it is.

I was patting my Moomoo just now, watching him curled up in his corner, snoozing peacefully until I sat down beside him- where he quickly awoke to acknowledge my presence and then lay down beside me, wanting me to scratch his tummy. I looked down at his furry little brown face and trusting eyes and suddenly, I'm so scared that I would one day not have my Moomoo with me anymore ):

Its a simple, passing thought like this that makes me determined to cherish all that I have now.

Today, my cat and I talked about me leaving for Sweden next year. Although I am excited for my exchange trip, I can't help feeling very sad that I will not get to be with my cat for half a year. Half a year is not a very long time, but it is not a short time either. I've never been apart from my cat for more than two weeks- the two weeks when he went to Taiwan for army stuffs.

I've thanked him umpteen times on this boring blog of mine, but I'll like to thank him again, for being the most thoughtful, understanding and sweetest boyfriend that anyone can ask for. For today alone, thank you for offering to send me home tmr so we can spend some time together, for the plans to go running with me in prep for 10k, for understanding that I need to study, for wanting to come to Sweden, and for always making me smile and laugh and happy (:

I love you, big orange cat! (:

I just re-watched the video montage that ck made for me for our one-year anniversary a year ago! Looking at the images really transports me back in time and I can't help smiling at all the happy memories we've created together.

I love you my cat! (:

NOT!

Had my source-based test (yessss ages since I did one of these) on Nation Building today and to no surprise, I don't think I did so great! /: Its been soooooo long since I wrote an essay that I was barely coherent in trying to string my sentences together, let alone present a well structured argument! I left the lecture hall feeling a bit dazed and wrung out. haha.

One more test to go this Friday! Its Finance, and although I did my revision, I don't feel ready! I feel that I'm still conceptually quite weak.

Sorry for such a boring, muggertoad post. Recess week will soon be upon us! (: Can't wait!!!

Been busy busy these days mugging for my two tests this week /: Funny thing is whenever I'm busy, I will feel this irrational urge to blog. lol! Anything to avoid/prolong having to study! Not good, not good.

Anw, I was studying at my favourite hide-out today- complete with messy hair, oily face and a big frown (at my finance notes), when the Meow meow cat appeared suddenly to surprise me! (: Not catching me at my most glam moment but thanks dear, you made me day! (:

Over dineer, we were talking about his future puppy and I am soooooooo excited!!! :D Chankeet thought of a reeeeeaaaaaalllyyy cute name for his dog!!! Its called......

STUBBY!

HAHAHAHA!!!

I can already see it in my mind's eye! It'll be a nice light brown, chubby and plump, with a smiley face, twinkling eyes and a pink tongue sticking out. And then four plump little stubby legs!!! SO CUTE! :D Can't wait for Stubby to take shape, although it might have a change of name if it turns out un-stubby-ish! hahaha!

I'm thinking if I should do my Managerial Acct tutorial now or study for my Singapore Studies test on Wednesday.

Absentmindedly making me want you ;

Lost momentum in my revision so here I am! There's a mad amount of Nation Building readings that I have to read, and the only characteristic they have in common is that... they are all BORING. The lectures are interesting enough, but when you are combing through photocopied pages after photocopied pages of never-ending small print, nothing can be really interesting anymore.

There is a bit of something irking me at the back of my mind, like a small, sharp pebble in my shoe that I cannot seem to remove. No major discomfort, but uneasiness all the same.

Here's something inspirational to share with everyone! (: Although I'm not a Christian, I really like this piece of poetry that jx shared with me! (: He has this knack of identifying inspirational and deeeep stuff that he knows I'll like! yay bff! (:

God has not promised skies always blue,
flowers-strewn pathways all our lives through.
God has not promised sun without rain,
joy without sorrow, peace without pain.

But God has promised strength for the day,
rest for the labour, light for the way.
Grace for the trials, help from above,
unfailing sympathy, undying love.

I remember I was discussing with Troy and Weiyan one day about the draw of Christianity, and Troy said that the belief of knowing that someone is out there, loving you and guiding you unconditionally, is extremely powerful.

Somehow, I can feel it whenever I read this poem (: I don't know if anyone else feels that way, but to me, God is just God- an unknown being looking out for me; someone I pray to for comfort and in trials. I do not know the identity of the god I silently and subconciously pray to.

Please let me find it!!! ):

Had a great day with my Garfield cat today (: I feel that my cat has become a happier and more optimistic person of late (not that he wasn't in the past but even more so now) and I'm really happy for him! (: Through him, I saw self-motivation and self-control materialising to a whole new level. Thanks dear, for always inspiring and encouraging me, and lending me books that you think will do me good! I really appreciate it! (:

We watched the Time Traveller's Wife and I think its a brilliant movie! Seriously. I don't know why the newspaper reviews gave it two and a half stars?! It deserves way more than that! I munched on nachos throughout while my cat snacked on his favourite sweet popcorn haha. I think thats the only snack he's ever tempted by!

After that we had dinner at the foodcourt downstairs. I didn't eat anything cus I was sooooooo full from the nachos. Only drank some Garfield's fish soup and ate a few strands of seaweed. Hahah! Cat also bought me two very very long pieces of chewy gummy-sweet from those pushcarts ard cineleisure (: Its approximately 18 inches long can! :DD

Nike Plus Human Race 10k is here again! I AM GOING TO JOIN IT!!!!

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name;
And for that name, which is no part of thee,
Take all myself. "

-Romeo and Juliet

Jx introduced me a little to Romeo and Juliet today and I found myself falling in love with the strange, beautiful language- used to tell such a hauntingly bittersweet story..

Four weeks into school and I'm falling behind again! Somehow I feel that I'm studying alot more than the previous semester but I don't seem any better off /: How ungratifying! I hope its not because my engine is sooo rusty after hols that I feel I'm studying alot more when in fact, I'm not. lool! I neeed more timeeee!

For one, despite pasting a big planner entitled "WE ARE THE ROADRUNNERS!!!" (I know, we're embarassing:D) on the wall for my sis and I, we have both yet to embark on the success-guaranteed training schedule that we've so carefully drawn up together. Oh nos! I don't want to have a 10k big walk!! O.O

TGIF today! /: I was really super shag after Finance tutorial today having worked my sluggish brains so hard to follow what was being addressed in class. Somehow the class made me more confused! After that was Bizcomm and luckily, it was still relatively slack and the two hours passed pretty quickly! The highlight of the night was MALA STEAMBOAT BUFFET with my favourite friends at Bugis! ((:

tadah!

Okay, that wasn't ours. I koped this off Google images haha but yes, ours looked something like that :D Yummy! The soup was pretty hot but I'm the soupy kind of girl and I have a love affair with chilli so MALA STEAMBOAT is the ultimate combo! (: Yummmy! I ate sooooooooooo much that my stomach was like damn hard alr hahaha! Stretched to its limits!!! I'm not kidding cus both wy and joan poked it! lol! Horrible man!

Next, we headed to some nearby dessert place for dessert! Honestly I cannot stomach anything else and as it was also getting late, I left for home first! (: As I was walking back, I started to feel damn shit all of a sudden //: Think all the chilli was getting to me lol! So I sat down at Mos Burger for a while to catch my breadth before I struggled to my feet to take a cab home. Aiyoh. Me and my horrible, lousy stomach //: The uncle in the taxi kept talking to me and even though I was like dying, I still had to keep talking to him. But weirdly enough, when I alighted from the cab I felt quite fine again. lol! Taxi uncle got healing powers!

Ck just told me he walked over burning coals!!!!!! OMGGGGGG!!!!!
