the littlest things

Let's start from yesterday! Met ZhiXin and Shazwani to catch Charlotte's Web at The Cathay (: omg I really missed them so much! ((((: ZhiXin's spastic-ness and Shazie's sarcarsm; all so familiar (: Being very greedy people, we bought nachos, popcorn and drinks and proceeded to munch throughout the movie. hahahah! Anw, you know everytime I see popcorn I'll think of ZhiXin! Long long time ago when we were young and cute little Sec Twos, we were watching some horror movie and sharing popcorn and you know when you are very scared, you'll just stop eating? ZhiXin starts stuffing popcorn at an alarming speed when she was scared! hahahahahahahahahah! Freaking hilarious! :D

I think Charlotte's Web was super nice and funny! Wilbur is soooo cute lah! (: But the part where Charlotte died was damn sad ): Shazie kept laughing at me cause I teared and sniffed /: (not like she never lorh) As if that scene was not already sad enough, then the Charlotte had to say sth like "Goodbye, my sweet little Wilbur" or sth like that! ))): so touching! Cannot take it.

After that we went to walk walk around Plaza Singapura then ZhiXin left first so nice Shazie accompanied me cause I was meeting HuiXin and the rest only around seven in the evening. Thanks girl! (: We rotted at Macs eating nuggets and sushi (with the super hot wasabi /:) and started talking about all that stuffs. I miss talking to you man! :D Remember the temp block at Crescent? (: heeee! Love!

Finding my way to nut's house was a disaster!! I walked around Harbour Front MRT for like ten years looking for the exit that will get me to the busstop that she was talking about. And then finally I got onto 143 and nut told me to look out for some currency house and get down two stops after so I asked her hopefully if the currency house is some brightly-lit place with flashing neon lights and then that girl told me its a gray building /: Wah thanks! hahahahah! How to see when its so dark! lol! So anw, I decided seek help from the bus driver and in the end, I still got off at a wrong stop /: And thats where I saw Joanne! hahah! She's as dumb as me!

Dinner at the Pasir Panjang Food Centre! Went back and then we each got a nice spot on her floor to stretch out so we started telling each other stories (: lol! Nut couldn't stop eating lah she is so gross! :D Yakked until like four in the morning and we decided we were hungry so we ordered Macs breakfast delivery! Hahah! Call that a sudden craving! After we ate, we finally went to sleep and woke up to hear the one oclock news playing downstairs. lol! Her parents ordered Sakae sushi for us so we pigged out once more before going home! :D

All those funny moments and heart-to-heart talks can't be captured in a blog entry but we all know this sleepover was really full of that! (: I love you alllllllll! -big hug! :D

Happy! (: I'm so tired and sleepy now, so I'm off to bed! GOODNIGHT! :D

all that mixed signals

Watched "Deathnote" today with Jiankai, Hongfei and my little brother (: The show is so mind-boggling and complicated! As my brother puts it, "Both Kira and L are too smart for their own good!" haha. Still, its pretty nice lah, although I prefer the first one. L is so smart, and cute! The mask was so zzz lah! hahaha. And I was so happy when I saw he didn't die the first time! :DD At least he died after Kira!

I don't like the scenes where they show people dying or going to die of heart attacks though (which is very often). I felt like cringing everytime they show it. So scary /:

Sister: I boughtttttttttt....THE TEENAGE TEXTBOOK!

Finally finally, she found the book at some old-books bizarre! Had to resort to going there because apparently, the book is not in print anymore ): Such a waste, because it's really one hilarious book! Like, really super spastic! It highly reminds me of sevenfive's great DoomedFreakz! :D Eh chrisseah, you so gotta read it someday k! And, righttttt, thanks for being so noble to exempt me from your insults! Should I buy you a present?

A thin line between things that make a whole lot of difference

Such lovely weather today! Met Liew Qi in the morning at Far East to look for quotations to make our soccer batch shirts and her mad and class ones. And so I found out to make classshirts will cost us around sixteen dollars each! Lesser people in soccer so its like, twenty per shirt. The person there showed us some really pretty designs which he drew himself! Nice. We ate a huge lunch at Hanz too! And then I spent the rest of my day stoning at home.

Sleepover at Coconut's on 30th December! YAY! I can't wait! Hope my Mom allows! (: She must!

Finally, a big thankyou to HuiXin, for always being there (: love!

Would you lie with me, and just forget the world?

Guess where am I blogging from now! :D
I bet you guessed wrong cause...

I'm blogging from HOME! Hahah! Surprise surprise!
We had to postpone our trip to Malayisa cause of the flooding! /: According to some reliable sources, parts of the Highway is flooded too! So we can't drive there. Will probably go tmr if weather conditions improve.

Anyway, Mr Ng is damn nice! Yesterday during consultation I told him I was going Malacca and he msged me today and told me, "The whole city near coast of Malacca is flooded. Hope you and your family are fine." haha. So nice right!

I just finished reading this book YinYee recommanded about contamination of meat supply with E coli bacteria. Let's such say I'm going to avoid eating hamburgers for a while /:
-

"It turns my stomach when I think of what hamburger has in it." Marsha said.

"What do you mean?" Kim asked. "It's muscle".

"Muscle and a bunch of other stuff," Marsha said. "Have you ever heard of the Advanced Meat Recovery System?"

"Can't say I have," Kim said.

"It's a high pressure device that they use to clean every scrape off cattle bones," Marsha said. "It results in a gray slurry that they dye red and add to the hamburger."

"That's disgusting."

"And central-nervous tissue," Marsha added. "Like spinal cord. That gets into the hamburger all the time."

Toxin; Robin Cook

Disgusting is an understatement /: But this book is supposedly referrring to America's meat supply lah. Yeeks.

Will be off to Malaysia for five days! Shit, my pilot show ): And my homework!

Damn tired today I don't know why. Yawns. Shall sleep earlier, goodnight!

the undomestic goddess

Argh, my ear is throbbing.

Blood donation was fun! I left the bloodbank regretfully with not a single less drop of blood in me. hahaha.

So I met the 73 seniors together with Shazie at Outram after training and then we went to donate! Filled up some questionaire and then went some a brief medical examination. I didn't have too many problems, just four out of maybe, five criteria? Hahahah!

Problem no. one: I pierced my ear just four days ago. Nurse ask, "Is the needle disposable?" I had no idea. "No infection?" I nodded. Solved
Problem no. two: I'm slightly off the minimum weight! The nurse decides to be nice. Solved.
Problem no. three: Pulse is slighter faster than usual (Okay, I admit I was a tiny bit nervous) Nurse understands. Solved.
Problem no. four: Blood Pressure a little on the low side. Nurse say, "Go drink two cups of water before you donate!". Solved.

Finger prick next. The nurse dropped a drop of my blood into Copper II sulphate solution and I watched it sink gracefully to the bottom of the beaker. So cool!

Finally, I entered the place where you donate blood! (: The nurses there were all very nice and they treated me like I'm a little girl! And they look genuinely delighted that we came as a group of friends! How very sweet (: Maybe they really need more donors.

"Hello Yueqi, right! You're seventeen? Where's your parental consent form? Ahh here. You're so young! Don't worry and just relax okay, I know its your first time! You're brave!" (I smiled uncomfortably on that sweet but unfortunately, quite false comment)
Warm smiles and sweet reassurances.

Tap tap.
Hmm, wheres your vein? Ahh, I see it! A bit small though. Let me get the senior nurse to check for you!
(Senior nurse comes)
Tap tap.
Hmm, this hand cannot.
Tap tap.
Aiyoh! Cannot cannot! Your vein is too small! -smiles comfortingly in a mother-mother way. Don't worry, just do more hand exercises and lift some weights! We'll probably see you here again in a six month's to a year's time!

Stun diao! Lift weights?

"Here, take this card and claim your refreshments! It's alright, you can donate next time! Do you know where the cafe is? Come, I'll take you there!"

I could only stammer a sheepish "Er thanks alot".

So I have six months to adopt a new exercise regime to make my veins uhm, fatter! Interesting. They also gave me a stressball that says "Selamat Hari Raya" as a souvenir. ha ha ha ha (:

Did I already say? The nurses are so nice! :D

Studied with Shazie at Queenstown library after we parted with the seniors, who went back to school! It got productive only after I took an hour's nap. Yawns. The table felt so nice to sleep on. hahaha. Then Shazie started reading this book and she read snippets of it out to me which was hilarious so I borrowed another copy too!

Anw, I was reading it on the bus and there was this part which was SO FUNNY I couldn't help but burst out laughing! (I was ALONE) OMG I was mortified but hahahahahahaha it was really damn hilarious! So embarassing okay! (Shaz, this is all your fault)! The people on the bus seating opposite me must have thought I'm an escaped mugging lunatic. And I was dressed just right for the branding. I was in a hc shirt! Darn, you know the stereotypes..

I saw them shooting weird glances at me, probably thinking, "Is this girl for real?" and I had to swallow down a fresh wave of mirth. I wanted to retort and say sth like "At least I'm not reading Campbell and laughing to myself right?"

Anw, the book is called "The Undomesticated Goddess" by Sophie Kinselle. I thought it was chick-flick kind of nonsubstantial book but now that I'm 3/4 through, its really deeper than it looks.

AND IT IS DAMN FUNNY.
hahahahhahahahahhahahaha

I have maths consultation tmr but I haven't prepared for it. Dammit. I'm tempted to cancel it cause its bad to waste his time. Maybe I'll whip up sth later.

shattered hearts, broken promises

It's been raining non-stop for a day now! And JianKai says that the weather forecast says that it'll last til Friday! /: /: /: How big excatly is the rain cloud hovering over in our skies!?

Treated my brother and sister to Surf and Turf for our sibling lunch! :D Just yesterday, I was describing to them how nice the steak was and that I MUST bring them there to eat and then today, the people screwed up! /: They forgot our sauces and the steak was like, weirdly cooked. haha. Okay never mind. After that went to find Soph, Yong and Siyun at Esplanade library to get abit of work done but I didnt do much before heading for dinner ( food again) at Sakae Sushi with Jasmine and YinYee! My senior and Grandsenior! :D So we ate and then sat there to yak for like, two hours plus plus! hahaha. It was great to catch up with both of them together and YinYee is so nice to bully even though shes the elderly one there HAHA :D loveee!

We left the place at nine-forty-four and I had to run home cause my pilot show starts at ten! Mad rushhhhhhh! Sadly I still got home at ten-twenty three cause Orchard was jamming /: !@#$% And I nearly missed my bus cause the bus-stop at PS was packed like sardines with people holding HUGE umbrellas so I couldn't see anything!

Saw Kenneth at citylink/library too! I seem to run into him everywhere, even at Tiong Bahru Market! Small world!

I've been spending a fortune on high-end food lately! /: After school reopens, I am NOT going to eat at anymore high-end places nor take cabs nor go Swensons or whatever for dessert! I am going to save money! :D I am going to be a (quote unquote my sister) hao3 han4! lol

Donating blood tomorrow! My sister is scaring me by telling me that the needle is as thick as a Yakult straw. Thanks for torturing a kind soul like me. hahaha.

And I'm going to meet SHAZIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! :D

a stranger is watching

esplanade library with Siyun, Yong and Sean! (: We had a super-duper hearty lunch at Surf and Turf so to no one's surprise, the Sandman started attacking me with his sack of sand once we got back to the library. zzzzz yawns. Darn, I got to stop indulging in such scrumptious meals during our study dates! hahaha

Anyway, that's secondary! The main point is... how yummy the steak was! :D hehheh! Sean ate his steak rare for the first time in his life and it looks really uhm, rare! lol! And bloody and red. Bet he felt like he was a crocodile! :D

My ear is still intact after three days!

brown fetish, soft neon lights

Had maths consultation in the morning with Zhuting and Sean! We got Mr Ng to go through some vectors stuff with us and he was really nice. He just laughed (he didn't nag/scold) when he saw that my second and third set of notes were empty! whoops /: It was two hours long though and towards the end, I could feel my concentration ebbing away already haha.

After that met Yeow Kailing and we went to Junction Eight together! Lunch-ed and then we went to shop around looking at spastic stuff hahah! We saw this pringles packet thingy that starts dancing when you snap your fingers! So interesting! Then we went to watch "Happy Feet"! It was okay only lah but the baby penguins are so damn cute and squishy! fat fat!

Went for dinner at Chomp Chomp! Yeow Kailing ordered so much yummy, irresistable food and I ate so much I was on the verge of bursting after we vacuumed up everything! :D We ate hokkien mee, satay, stingray, cheekueh(?) , bbqed chicken wings and drank sugar cane! Yum! And then I was like, "EH, my friend works near here eh!!" and she asked, "Where?" and I said, "Ice3!" and she was like "HAHAHA I'm bringing you there you toot!" Damn spastic!

Anw, Ice3 is sooooooooo nice! The mocha liquor icecream was really super!

Study date with Zhuting, Sean and Sophia today! :D We studied at kfc initially but we were tragically shoo-ed away cause kfc was apparently too popular so off we went to grace Burger King with our honourable presence (: News flash! Do not ever go out with Zhuting when she has a sari with her! She shows it proudly to everyone she can get her hands on, accompanied by a colourful description about how wonderful she'll look! LOL!

pounding heart;

Met up with my loves HuiXin, Joanne and Dawnnie today! (: It sure is good to meet up with them again! One lazy day spent at Huixin's house right on our agenda! :D Loads of tit-bits, stacks of vcds, and a comfortable position of her sofa/floor to sprawl on. Ingredients for a great day! (:

We watched SouthPark first which was downright horny. The orange guy (kenny) is so poor thing lah he exists to die in every episode hahahah! Then we switched to emo movie "The Notebook"! So sweet (: No one wanted to watched my orbeet "Mr Vampire" hahahahahahah! Eh, its funny okay! -grins :D Even though its historical lol!

Sometimes I'll think maybe one day, because of how very different our lives and friends are now, we might have lesser and lesser things in common until we finally drift apart. But each time I meet up with them, I feel so at ease (: I'm just glad you guys are the constants in my life.

rainbows, glass spheres and soft reflections

MooMoo: "Someone, play with me ):"

"Don't disturb me, I am in deep thought. What is that thing the humans are using to take my picture?"

soooo cute! :D Look at the way he sits! (:

Cutting carrots is one mean task! I had to spend nine-cows-two-tigers' worth of strength all for satisfying my sudden, unexplainable craving for a nice crunchy bowl of salad (: I figured since the freedom I have to do as I like is so shortlived (aka until when school reopens), I might as well live life to the fullest now, right? Heh!

Anyway, back to the carrots,

they are as hard as rocks!

And it keeps getting stuck to the damn knife!

And I had to risk my life and yank it out again.

See, only the skillful can accomplish such a feat:

Such beautifully shredded carrots. Awed huh? -smug grin :D
(Actually, those were the thinnest I could get them to go hahahaha)

Legal drugs
Haribo is addictive. You know, it takes every ounce of my self-discipline to not bite the sweet. So today I decided I shan't bite it already. I sucked the sweet and..

I ended up swallowing it -.- /: hahah! Damn wahlao right.

Anw, being adventurous people (my brother's idea), we set out to test how long a haribo can last if you don't bite it.

The verdict. 13:05:29!

hahahah! Really wonder why my whole tube of haribo disappears after fifteen minutes.

Autumn leaves and breath-taking chills.

Japan was awesome! The weather there was incredible. After you deck yourself in two shirts, a jacket, a pullover, and a muffler, its just nice and cooling (: Didn't sweat a drop for seven days.

Too much to blog about and I'm too lazy to recap in detail so I'll just write whatever I feel like. Will upload pictures another day!

THE TOILETS!
Man, some of the toilets there are so quirky! They have like a thousand buttons; buttons you press to warm the toilet seat, buttons you press so a jet of water shoots out to wash your butt, even buttons you press so there's this gushing sound so no one knows you're shitting! Hahah!

DISNEYSEA!
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and Pluto (or is it Goofy I can't tell the difference) and Chip and Dale! Muahahah! soooo cute! The whole place was so ethereal and fantasie-fairytale its as if I've entered another world altogether! It is so very pretty (:

My mom and my brother didn't take most of the scary rides so it was just my dad and sister and me! Damn, I salute my Dad! He is fearless! The rollercoaster ride was damn exhilarating with this three hundred and sixty degree loop that makes you go completely upside down in one gargantuan whoosh! Damn fun! I really love rollercoasters! (: But the ultimate was this attraction called "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" where you ride this little cart inside the volcano. At first it moves at a nice pace and you can go ooh and ahh over how pretty they have made the inside of the volcano, complete with jewels and the likes then it suddenly plunges into complete darkness and starts winding around in top speed to God-knows-where and the next thing you know, you find yourself plunging down a sudden, sharp near-vertical drop!! omg for this one my heart nearly popped out of my ribcage! Definitely one of the best and most electrifying rides ever! :D

HARAJUKU!
The japanese version of "town" for teenagers to hang out. Its damn interesting cause the whole street is lined with loads of super cool teenage bands and they all play damn well! The lead singers are like whoaaaaaaa lah! There are even people singing solo! So brave O.O

Visited a shrine too and its just like in tv shows! You can write your wishes and desires on little wooden plagues to hang it on the pegs. I saw some there that reads, "Hoping that my Mom gets well soon" and "May who and who be happy forever!". So sweet to think that the shrine holds so much beliefs and hopes for the people. After hanging the plague on the wall, you'll really feel a strange sense of peace and hope (:

MT FUJI!
omg that place was freeeeeezing! We didn't expect it to be that cold cause we didnt even go up the damn mountain but it was like 2 degree celcius and our clothes were meant for 14 degree celcius-type of weather. Yikes! I swear my teeth were clattering so hard they were about to fall out one by one! And to make matters worse, WE GOT LOST! Almost became a family of popsicles /:

But Mt Fuji is very very pretty with its peak capped in snow that reflects the soft sunlight. Nice!

THE FOOD!
The rice there is super nice! (yes, I know its just rice) But it is reeeeaaalllyyy super nice! :D So soft and moist and smooth and it separates on your tongue, grain by grain, when you put it into your mouth (:
I decided to be adventurous and try raw food for once but ugh!, really not my type! /: I didn't go further than raw salmon and tuna and salmon roe. The big fat juicy-looking salmon roe was the grossest! Its like eating chicken pox lah!! Weird juice spurting out /: /: /: I couldn't bear to stomach the fresh raw squid nor the pufferfish either, despite the fact that its suppose to be very good food! hahah! Damn gross!

Oh, and I tell you sth! Their supermarkets have loads and loads of generous samples! Like, generous helpings of samples! My whole family spent half a day walking around this huge supermarket eating everything! Hahahah! Cheap thrills! :D

So Japan was a really nice place. The people are really courteous! Their favourite word is probably "Arigato Gosaimasshita" or however you spell that cause they say it all the time to every single person who walks into their shop! And they actually line up while boarding the mrt! What the! I was so amazed lol!

And I guess who I missed most when I was in Japan!
YOU!

haha just kidding! I missed MooMoo terribly! Poor little thing was at the pet hotel :D Right after we touched down and had dinner, we went to fetch the lil' dear home (: That retarded dog was so excited he pee-ed the moment he saw us! He seems a bit sad to leave his little furry friends there though. Poor thing!

I've got a freaking sorethroat and running nose now ): I'm killing millions of trees with the tissue I'm using. The energy that I use to blow my nose can be used to run 10k already lah.
