"Someone may really love you. Like really really. Even if they scold you. Even if they throw tantrums. But they love you for shouting at them. They love you for doing things which really hurt them. They love you for falling & hurting yourself. They love you through vomit, snot & times when you are sick. They love not only you but people who are important to you as well. They love you for times you don't even look out for them or stand up for them when you really should. They love you for coming & going, at your best & even so at your worst. Some people have a bottomless well of love for you.

Their only flaw is not making you work for it.

Everyone chases the love that eludes them, the love that they cannot attain & which seems just so far beyond their reach. Yet, they still move forth to gain that love & affection. But the person's love you seek seems to be tucked away, like papers in a briefcase & you just keep trying to get in there.

That's unfair. But why is it that we assume so much from the person who does not care & yet hold the one who loves us unconditionally to a lower, looser standard?

Maybe it's because you can only be one thing to one person. So you just cling on to the one you think you might lose.

I got this from Joanne's blog and I think its very true and beautiful. Reminds me of "For One More Day" by Mitch Albom, which is one of the best books I've ever read(:

I guess everyone is guilty of taking the people who love them for granted, at least at some point of their life. Sometimes, we have to all remember to take a step back, look around us, and remember to thank and love the people who has loved us unconditionally, through thick and thin, and above all, have loved us for being us.

in the name of love.
