GREETINGS FROM KOREA!! (:

I am turning into a major alchoholic. But the ice cold beer here is to die for!

Sitting on my bed now, surrounded by one and a half month worth of luggage... everything feels a little surreal! In approximately five hours, I'll be jet setting off to Korea-- the land of guessing and pointing. (I still can't speak any korean other than hello, thank you and I love you) The subway map scares me and I heard each subway station has more than ten, even twenty, exits that lead to different places, and these stations are all huge! My mobile might die on me because Korea is so much more high tech and renders poor sg phones useless. I am a korean "millionaire" and might be robbed. My adventure is about to begin! :D

Don't laugh at me, but I am already homesick. I will miss my mummy and daddy, my sister, my litte bro and my two furry family members, moomoo and mimi! ): And my friends too! I can't believe I am gg to miss everyone's homecoming back from europe andall subsequent binges on chinese/spore food that I am sure will follow.

On the bright side, my garfield cat, my sis and her bf are all flying to korea with me. So much for being independent on exchange trips *grins*

TW/HK had been fabulous! (: Will blog more about it next time! Here's two un-touristy pictures first:

Welcome to Taiwan!!! (: (the watermelon is mad big and crazily heavy lor!!)

See you all in Korea! <3 Loveeee!

TWO DAYS TO TAIWAN! (:

I am sooo excited!!! I can't wait to visit the toilet themed restaurant there! Its sooo cute, though admittedly a tad gross. I mean, curry in toilet bowls lehs Really look like ahem, LS. And shit-shaped ice cream in "squating toilets".

Look!
haha funny hor! :D

I heard we get to keep the urinals, in which drinks are served!

Will be back with lots and lots of pictures! (: Take care my friends!

Find yourself in solitude.

"Who are you, I dare ask? Where are you? What are you doing, exactly? Why?
To find out I’ve a suggestion: quit work, take a leave of absence from work or school, and buy that one-way ticket to nowhere.
To travel alone is to find the answers you’ve been seeking and discover the questions to all your unfounded thoughts. It is your world. It is your adventure."

Feeling rather inspired after reading some articles and blogs on travelling alone. I have always been a more social person than not. Although I love having time for myself, like the idea of shopping alone and is happy to sit at a cafe by myself, people-watching and reading the day away, for the most part, I love having friends and company.

So although I obviously hope (okay, fervently pray) that I am going to have a bunch of cool friends in Korea, I resolve to have some time alone with myself in the foreign land, and learn to be a little more free spirited.

Dates with the cat (:
Look at ck all grown up now :D He has officially ditched his glasses for contacts!!

Enjoying some Gusstimo goodness! (: Me likes their green apple sorbet! But I still prefer Bravissimo.

And some regular pictures. I look like I'm missing my front tooth and there's ck proclaiming that his eyebrows are his best feature -.-

Dong Dae Mun's biggest fan! (:

After that we walked around Ion for the hundredth time (omg what do ppl do in spore???) before heading to Farrer Park! Ck was gg to bring me to the famous jian dao jian (scissors cut) curry rice!! :D I am not such a great fan of curry (unless its asam) but I've seen it on TV foodie shows so was quite keen to try also!

Tadah!! (I got this off Google cus I'm too lazy to upload frm my bb but it looks 99% the same-- stuff in a mess of curry :D)

Doesn't look like much right but it is GOOOOOD! (: even for a non-curry fan like me. See how generous they are with the sauce, such that every single thing is drenched in curry goodness :D I love their braised pork and pork cutlet!! Yums.

After dinner we went to walk around City Square mall at Farrer Park, which is for some reason, Spore's first eco mall. Cotton On was having a sale there so ck and I scouted around for cheapo deals and I got myself a casual denim vest for just $15!! So cheap! :D Ck bought himself 2 shirts (: Then having nth to do, we just cam-whored the rest of the night away!

Tee hee! (: It feels good to have all the time in the world to spend together! Muacks!

And must show off my bargain purchase again! lol!
-
Having run out of stuffs to do, we actually whiled our time away at the arcade yesterday, playing basketball, bishi bashi and racing. We also got ourselves a new friend!!!

Tadah!
This is no ordinary little stuff toy because... WE CAUGHT IT FROM THE CLAW MACHINEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

The very first toy we successfully picked up :D I know its all small and sad but we jumped ten feet the air and shrieked in joy (maybe not so kuazhang) when we saw that we were successful!!! Definitely one of the most exhilarating moments of the day! :D I am grinning now as I recall our shocked reactions hahaha!

"The Claw" (: Just fyi, this little creature originated from Toy Story haha! Super lame one!

Ck forced me to watch Nightmare on Elm Street with him too //: I have stayed far away from horror/gore flicks since being frightened to death by the Exocism of Emily Rose in secondary three, where I was like haunted by scenes of it for weeks after the trauma in the cinema!!! /: So even though this film wasn't that scary, I still spent half the time with fingers in my eyes and the other half with my head under my jacket. AND I had nightmares about Freddy last night. Hrrumph!

Tmr is my sister's last two papers!!! I wish and pray that it'll all be alright and she will come home, all smiles, tomorrow (:

Here's a piece of funny news: My dad recently got a letter of notification/warning from the police for making multiple prank calls to the station! HAHA! Can you imagine? My dad making prank calls!

Anw, the reason was because he always forgets to lock his blackberry and somehow, his phone then automatically dials 999 (?!) No one really knows why that happens. And hence, I have bestowed upon him the blackberry case that Mel gave me just three weeks ago (thank you!!!!) I must say, I was super touched cus she remembered that my bb case got stolen at west coast food centre and by some magic, she managed to get one more for me recently <3 so sweet right! But anw, I have to give it up to my Dad cus otherwise, he might be arrested soon! lol! He badly needs the "lock keyboard automatically once in holster" function.

(Mel, I hope you don't mind hor) :D

So anw, I had to get myself yet another hp pouch and I found one that I really, really like! :D AND AND, it fits my bb perfectly, though without the holster function ):

LOOK!

 Its a Domokun!! (:

Definitely some resemblance there... :D

Cam whoring with domo while waiting for our movie! Ck complains that his face is v chubby so he purposely tilted his head upwards to disguise his fats :D *spills secret*

The bad boyf has been not bad at all VERY NICE lately :D Yesterday, he got me a jacket from Everlast because he thought "it'll look good on me"! Wahhh, learn to "por" alr lor!!

 Nice??

And he got me the cream cotton on wedges that I wanted too yay. Someone pls stop me from buying more shoes because even though my shoe rack is expanding like crazy, all I wear in the end is my havianahs -.-" I really like this pair though and its rather comfy! Not like my charles and keith one ):

Met Ben for dinner after that together with Wansu, my new friend gg to KU with me! haha! Ben actually spent a semester at KU to earn his Masters so he kindly drew us a map and gave us a crash course on Korean :D Wansu was very amused cus Ben's angmoh and thereee he is, teaching us Korean. Quite a funny sight.

Pages of our sacred manual.

And tag replies:

Major Damage!

I was "window shopping" online and ended up buying a cardigan, a dress, a jumpsuit and a top, all  under an hour. I shld nvr have gone to f21.com ):

And now, I shall abstain from shopping until I get to TW/HK.

I have to, I have to, I have to *chants*

Angeline had a surprise for me today! She got me a......
...Good Luck carebear!!! (: haha so cuteeeeee right! I absolutely adore it! (: It has been quite a while since I received a stuffed toy and I felt the same glee today as I did as a kid when I saw my new friend :D

What's more, this is no ordinary plush toy! The care bear she gave me has in-built speakers omg!! I was so amazed! All I have to do is just plug in my ipod and there my care bear goes, beating out angsty rock songs and crooning ballads, while looking all cute and cuddly too!

haha I sound mad, don't I?

Ohkays, this was a really random post haha!
GOODNIGHT ALL! (:

And to Sergeant Iseiteh, you are fat, not me :D

I ordered the plain, boring looking noodles once because it was on the one-for-one promotion. I remember thinking, "shit, it looks so sad" when the order arrived, speckled only with some herbs and chilli padi (and a bunch of seaweed on top). But after taking a mouthful, I am now deep deep deeply in love with aglio olio. How can sth so plain and minimalistic looking taste so good?!
Yums!

Lol I know that is really random but aglio olio is officially my new love. I really really like Pasta de Waraku's prawn and mushroom aglio olio. It is like, just mouth wateringly delicious. The fact that it doesn't look delicious makes it even more delicious when its delicious! If you know what I mean :D

Past few days have been fun! (: Other than almost daily outings with my cat (we will soon conquer the whole of sg, leaving us with no more places to go), there was a 75 outing (major love!!) and our dear WY's 21st (:

Guitar heroes, good food and great company! It was a really good catch up session! What are we gg to do without you when you go to Warwick yong!! We need your house!! lol! (and you of course....) :D

And my 2 besties throughout jc! (: happy bday soph!!

And a picture from Weiyan's 21st! (: Fellow lok cok woman wy looks so pretty that night! hee hee!

Lunching with Angeline tmr and then dinner with Yongster. I shall make good use of the time in the aftn to get what I need for Korea. Yawns.
